Bob Barasa, the author and presenter of this program is the son, grandson, nephew, and cousin of attorneys, who has practiced law in Chicago for more than 30 years.
He is an advocate for the
un-equaled dynamism of the legal profession. It is this fundamental character of dynamism within the profession that he used as the premise for creating the,
Reducing Attorney Stress with Dynamic-Action Seminars.
The
Dynamic-Action concept evolved from an
inconsistency that he had noticed in the legal profession. Having experienced so many lawyers over the years, he knew lawyers to be a dynamic and powerful group of people undeterred by the ordinary challenges of a legal career. Nevertheless, over the last 10-15 years, he noticed that lawyers were complaining about the practice of law more than ever before.
With all the
talent in the legal profession, he knew something had to be wrong. This was a blatant inconsistency. There had to be some explanation, and the answer was
stress.
In 2008 Bob Barasa authored,
The Crossroads of the Over 50 Attorney, outlining the burdens of practicing law in today’s environment and suggesting that now is the time to pursue visions and dreams because after the age of 50, time is of the essence.
In 2009 the first
Dynamic-Action Seminars were held but were not yet CLE accredited. At these seminars, lawyers came alive with excitement and invigoration when they spoke of the many possibilities they hoped to get to someday when they had enough time.
In May 2010 the first two fully accredited
Reducing Attorney Stress with Dynamic-Action Seminars were held.
